Pinochle Shots is a drinking game in the Card Games category for 4 players that takes about 15-30 min with a hard difficulty level.
Pinochle where points become drinks
Use a standard deck of Pinochle cards (48 cards made by combining two decks of 24 cards: 9, 10, J, Q, K, A in each suit). Set up four players in teams of two, seated across from each other. Ensure each player has their drink of choice nearby. Shuffle and deal 12 cards to each player, and prep a spot in the middle of the table for the trump suit and meld display during gameplay.
Keep track of points closely, as every point scored in a trick gives you the power to assign sips. Be strategic during bidding, calling a high bid and losing the round means you drink for the amount of points you fell short. Use the meld phase not only to score points but also to gauge who might lose and assign drinks accordingly. If you're close to winning, assigning drinks strategically can throw off your opponents' focus (or coordination).
Dealer's Double: The dealer adds a double-drink penalty for any failed bid over 20 points.. Trump Sips: Every time a trump card is played, the player who played it takes a sip.. Meld Madness: All meld scores are doubled, but every 10 points scored in meld means the player must drink.
Players: 4-4 | Duration: 15-30 min | Difficulty: hard
